by Teresa Baker and Lydia Miles

Josie is a bit shy at her new school and seems to have a bit of a problem fitting in. She gets a pair of sparkly shoes. The shoes open up conversations with other children and Josie feels confident enough to talk to them. Josie begins to make friends and starts to feel more comfortable at her new school. This is a great book to help children find ways to break the ice and reach out to the shy child. It also shows shy children how to talk a small step in making friends. I look forward to more books by Mrs. Baker and family.
