Everyone needs this book. In the story, the Hue children are noticing how different family members have different skin tones. They realize that although they all look a little different, they are the same family and the same inside. One child references a salad where there are a bunch of different color veggies, but they are all in the same bowl. If we all could just realize we are part of the same salad, life would be much sweeter. Kudos to SF Hardy for a simple book that makes us think.
