The story of Lily Rose Cates drew me in immediately. Her world shatters when her father dies. Lily graduates and goes to college where again here plans change with no warning. One fateful day she meets a knight in shining armor. At least it shines for a while. The story then follows Lily’s escape and life after Manny. The characters were well developed and the story had a good plot. The end, however, left me with many unanswered questions. I wish that Mrs Johnson had given us a little bit more. I agree that not every question has to be answered, We have our imagination to do that, but I do wish we had had just a bit more. I will be watching for her next novel. She has the ability to become one of our favorites.
