In this unique book the story is told by Salon, the doll made from a mango seed. KayLynne found a dried mango seed and used her creativity to make it into a doll. Both she and her doll are rejected by the other girls on the playground. Kaylynne and Salon help the other girls to see that they are all unique and beautiful.
This story touches on bullying in a gentle way and encourages acceptance of others different from you. At the end of the book there are several pages of activities. This is a great story with wonderful illustrations.
